1. INTRODUCTION:
GC - CW Utilities is a very useful tool to add/update time entries to keep track of your time against service tickets and to add an activity to ConnectWise. The application sits in the system tray of your system so it is easy and fast to use.
If you are constantly working on tickets then this is the application you need to keep track of your time and post automatically. It is also capable of keeping track of up to 3 tickets if you multi task. Or if you are an office receptionist taking customer calls you can use this application to quickly add a sales activity.
2. HOW THE APPLICATION WORKS:
After installing "GC - CW Utilities", you will notice a new system tray icon "GC - CW Utilities".

Right Clicking system tray icon will show the menu with the following items.
1. Settings
2. Add Activity
3. Add Time Entry
4. Exit

The Settings menu item is where you save the settings such as Service URL, Username, Password, Company, Action on Icon Click and refresh tickets interval. This is a onetime setup. You will not find yourself coming to this screen often. The username and password you add here needs to have the API role enabled for Companies and Activities API. The webserver path is typically http://mydomainname/v4_6_Release/services/system_io/integration_io.asmx. The username and password need to be setup in ConnectWise. The user can use Sync Companies to download the latest list of companies that are in the ConnectWise database. Also user can Sync Members to download the latest list of members that are in the ConnectWise database.
Using this MemberID the user can set the team member to assign to an activity and also set the MemberID to update time entry for service tickets.
Clicking the system tray icon will show the form to create an activity or show the form to update time entry for Service Tickets depending on the "Action on Icon Click" value in Settings page.

This is the add activity screen. Enter subject, select company, and select the team member you want to assign it to, enter any Notes and click Submit to create the activity. It adds a sales activity to ConnectWise.

This is the form to mark time against Service Tickets.

Select the service ticket you are working on. You can use the filters to quickly select the service ticket.

Clicking the "+" symbol will show a popup window. Here select the Member D that is working on the ticket, and enter any Notes.
